A gold party is a gathering of friends, coworkers, family members, etc hosted by someone that will help them sell their gold pieces in exchange for cash on the spot. As a host all you have to do is provide a venue, typically your own house or apartment, invite friends and make some money. You will either be provided with the tools to weigh and price the pieces brought in by your guests or a gold buying specialist will be provided by the shop you are working with to help you at your party
On the day of the party all you will just be a good host and help your eager friend make money as you make money. Typically Gold Party hosts make around 10% of what they take in and make that day and a Gold party can make upwards of $5000 so you can make upwards of $500 just by hanging out with your friends for the afternoon. Its an easy, fun way to make money and the best part is that everyone benefits; your friends will get rid of their unwanted jewelry and walk away with cash while you make an extra buck as well. It’s a win-win situation and everyone walks away happy.
I would strongly suggest checking out the Silver and Gold Exchange before selling gold or silver to ANYONE. I did a great deal of research, online and offline, and learned a lot about this business. I checked pawn shops, jewelers, "gold parties", hotel "buying events as well as the online buyers, including the "as seen on tv" guys. I found that the Silver and Gold Exchange paid more than anyone else I could find. I liked the fact that they post the prices they pay per gram (beware of the places that quote in pennyweight/DWT) on a live price chart at http://SilverAndGoldExchange.com I also checked out their Better Business Bureau report and found they have never had a single complaint as opposed to HUNDREDS of complaints some other companies have! I recommend them 100%
