Is it Safe Sell My Gold to an Online Business?

If you do your homework, yes, it is safe to ship your jewelry to an online cash for gold company to trade it in for cash. To ensure a safe transaction, however, research the company you are doing business with and most importantly, know their Return Policy: Make sure you fully understand the process, so if you are not happy with their payment you can receive your jewelry back. Many sites issue payment upon receiving the jewelry, without any notification to the customer. With certain payment methods the sale is final and you cannot get your jewelry back if you are not happy with the payment. Make sure you don’t get caught in this practice. The best method is for the site to make you a formal payment offer, with the option to accept or decline.

With a little bit of homework you can ensure that you’ll get a fair trade in value for your jewelry, and be confident that you’ll get your jewelry back if you change your mind. And of course if you are not comfortable sending in your gold online, there are other options! Specifically gold parties have become the latest craze, with hosts inviting their friends over for a party and to sell their gold. Everyone leaves happy and with cash!

Hosting a Gold Party through Your Local Gold Jeweler

There has been a lot of buzz recently about gold parties on the web and on television, but the best and easiest place to go in order to find out about hosting is your local gold jeweler. The Gold Standard sets up gold hosting parties and can let you know just how easy it is to host a party and make some good money in the process.

A gold party is a gathering of friends, coworkers, family members, etc hosted by someone that will help them sell their gold pieces in exchange for cash on the spot. As a host all you have to do is provide a venue, typically your own house or apartment, invite friends and make some money. You will either be provided with the tools to weigh and price the pieces brought in by your guests or a gold buying specialist will be provided by the shop you are working with to help you at your party.

On the day of the party all you will just be a good host and help your eager friend make money as you make money. Typically Gold Party hosts make around 10% of what they take in and make that day and a Gold party can make upwards of $5000 so you can make upwards of $500 just by hanging out with your friends for the afternoon. Its an easy, fun way to make money and the best part is that everyone benefits; your friends will get rid of their unwanted jewelry and walk away with cash while you make an extra buck as well. It’s a win-win situation and everyone walks away happy.

Are Gold Prices too High??

Recent reports on the prices of gold indicate that the current price of gold may be “too high” given the recent market trends, demand, and inflation. This could lead to a correction in the medium term and a drop in prices being offered on gold. In light of this many investors could potentially sell off their gold, flooding the market and potentially causing prices to drop further. This paired with the announcement of increased production by China has investors speculating where the market will go. Although just speculation at this point the thought has sparked many investors to act quickly to take advantage of the current high prices.

The good news is that currently the market is at a two month high which topped $960 just last week. So, now is still a great time to sell and may be the best time to sell as future prices are uncertain. This holds especially true for individuals wishing to sell off unwanted gold that they may have collected over the years since this is the type of gold that see a drop in demand the quickest as production/mining of gold increases and the market becomes flooded. As of right now, the demand for gold is still high as are the prices.

At Gold-Cash we strive to help you take advantage of the current demand for gold and the high prices in the market. We offer the highest payouts in the business and post both our rates and those of competitors daily so that you know you are receiving the best possible offer. We have been in the jewelry business for 75 years with brick and mortar stores as well as operating online. We offer free shipping, insure your package for more than its value, and even offer a guarantee on the entire process. Right now is a great time to take advantage of the market, let us help you!!

What Is A Gold Karat?

Gold is measured in Karats. Well, more precisely, the purity of gold is measured in Karats. This unit of measure dates back to a time when “carob” beans were used to measure gold and it ranges in scale with 24 karat being the purest form of gold. Since 24 karat gold is both highly expensive and soft, gold is mixed with other alloys to make it stronger, firmer, and less costly. As the purity of gold content is reduced the karat number is also reduced on a sliding scale based on percentage of gold. The coupling of alloys with the gold allows for a range of color as well as durability and strength.

Most jewelry pieces are either 14 or 18 karat gold based on cost, availability, and workability. 14 karat gold is 58.33% gold content and 18 karat gold is 75 % gold content. These percentages and/or percentage contents are generally stamped on all gold pieces, but tests can be performed should the item not be stamped.

It is important to determine the karat of your gold piece to determine what it may be worth when buying or selling an item. Since gold is a commodity traded worldwide it is easy to look up the price of gold at any given time. The easiest thing to do is to go to a local gold shop that posts daily the value of gold and even gives breakdowns based on karats and gold percentages. That way it is really easy to see what your gold piece is worth based on karat weight.

With the current gold market so high many people are considering selling any gold items they may have around the house gathering dust. Once you know what the karat weight and worth of your gold is it may make it that much easier to decide to sell these items for some extra money or to get money to buy other pieces of gold. Again, I suggest going to a reputable gold buyer and let them show you how to quickly and easily turn your gold karats into cash money.

School Rings and What They Are Worth

At one point a school ring may be ones most prized possession, but as time goes on the importance of these rings may be lost and all that is left is a seldom seen reminder of money spent on something that hasn’t been worn in years (or decades). Well, now is the perfect opportunity to turn that school ring into cash if that ring is made of gold.

With the gold market at an all-time high and the demand for gold even higher, your school ring may be worth good money and can easily be sold for cash immediately. The gold in your class ring has value based on the gold content in the ring and may have additional value depending on the stone set in the ring. It is important to find out the Karat value and weight of the ring to determine its value.

To easily find out how much your school ring is worth, you can go to a local goldbuying store. If you are looking to sell your class ring in New York, The Gold Standard offers 3 locations on Long Island, and can quickly tell you what your ring is worth and help you sell NY class ring. The Gold Standard is a family-owned company that has been in the jewelry business for 75 years and is licensed to buy and sell gold. We look forward to seeing you!

Gold Parties and How They Work

Americans are always looking for an excuse to have a party and the best kind of party to have would be one that you are paid to attend! Much in the traditions of a Tupperware or purse party comes a new tradition, the GOLD PARTY. Unlike other parties though a gold party is one where everyone makes money, not just the host.

The idea is a simple one. There is a gold party host that introduces a gold buying company, who invites their friends and family over for a fun filled party to buy gold jewelry. The guests bring scrap and/or unwanted gold pieces that are weighed, priced, and turned into instant cash. What better way to spend a day!

Aside from the social aspect of the gold party, the ability to discuss the gold sale with a goldbuyer that knows the process and also gets to meet you as the customer offer a peace of mind for those that may be weary of the process. The gold party hosts have generally dealt directly with the gold buyers and can walk guests through the process so that they may feel better about dealing with and selling directly to gold buyers in the future.

Although the gold party host may be a friend or family member, it is still important to know what you are getting for your gold pieces. The goldbuyer should be able to tell you exactly what the payout will be for each gold piece depending on Karat and weight. They should also go over all fees associated with the process and the guarantees associated with the transaction.

One such online company that works with hosts to set up gold parties is The Gold Standard of New York which offers a money (gold) back satisfaction guarantee and the industries highest payout. As mentioned, although you will be dealing directly with a party host it is important to know the company that they represent as all gold buyers are not the same and it is important to deal with a reputable one the at will offer the highest payout possible. So, whether you decide to attend a gold buying party or sell the gold yourself online, now is a great time to sell any gold pieces and get top dollar for them.

Turning Your “Scrap Gold” Into Found Money

If you have a lot of “scrap” items of gold lying around that are gathering dust there may not be a better time than now to turn that discarded gold into solid cash. With the gold market at record highs people are finding gold a quick and easy source for some extra money.

Gold as a commodity is in high demand as other markets fluctuate, allowing for top dollar on all pieces of unused jewelry and coins. These “scrap” pieces include items that are not pure gold, but for which there is great demand at the moment. Even pieces of jewelry that are broken, tarnished, and otherwise unfit for use can fetch top dollar in today’s marketplace.

Vendors are buying back gold in record number at unheard of prices and are making it east for you to convert your unwanted pieces into cash on the spot. This means, however, that you need to act quickly as the market will surely not stay like this forever. It is important to find a good, reputable vendor to help you with your scrap gold transaction and to ensure that you get top dollar with no risk and or hassle. I prefer a family-owned business such as www.gold-cash.com that knows what they are doing and can make me feel easy turning in my gold scraps into quick money. This site posts their daily payouts online so it is easy to understand exactly what price you will get and walk you through the process. If you live in New York are, the gold buyer The Gold Standard is a well-known and reputable brick and mortar goldcasher that I recommend as well.

So, why wait to turn the gold lying around your house into money in your pocket. There is no reason not to given the high market values and what could be a better use for those scrap pieces?
